Description
Arthur Hacker was born in St Pancras, Middlesex in September 1858 was an English classicist painter. He studied at the Royal Academy between 1876 and 1880. In his art he was most known for painting religious scenes and portraits, and his art was also influenced by his extensive travels in Spain and North Africa. ‘Vale (Farewell)’ by Hacker was painted in 1913. Hacker died in November 1919 in Kensington, London. Classic version also available.
