Description
Herbert James Draper was an English Classicist painter. Born in London 1864, he went on to study art at the Royal Academy. Draper’s most productive period began in 1894. He focused mainly on mythological themes from ancient Greece. Draper died in London, September 1920. ‘The Lament for Icarus’ by Draper was painted in 1898. Twist version also available.
