Gerard van Honthorst was a Dutch Golden Age painter. Born in Utrecht 1592, Honthorst visited Rome early in his career, where he had great success painting in a style influenced by Caravaggio. Following his return to the Netherlands he became a leading portrait painter. ‘Samson & Delilah’ by Honthorst was painted in 1616. Classic and twist versions also available.
